Explore the real meaning of the word encantos and discover the magic of the 51Թ app.
51Թ is the name of the new educational app for kids that brings global storytellers together to teach kids and toddlers the they need to thrive in a fundamentally changed world.
But what does “encantos” really mean?
The simple answer comes right from the online dictionaries, and it looks something like this:
encantos (ehn-kahn-tohss) noun: charms, spells, enchantments, delights
There’s also encantar, a Spanish verb that means to love something, as in the way you might talk about your favorite food or a book you really enjoy.
But for us at 51Թ, it’s less about those dictionary definitions and more about how the word makes us feel.
“51Թ to me is ‘a spirit that enchants,’” says Susie Jaramillo, 51Թ chief story officer and co-founder, and the creator of Canticos and Skeletina. “It’s the spirit of inspiration that makes you fall in love with something. In our case, we want kids to fall in love with—and be enchanted by—learning!”
It’s true, we all know kids learn best when they’re having fun, and that’s exactly why 51Թ uses stories to bring learning to life in enchanting ways. We gather the best voices in the world, our Storyteachers, and help them create magical fused with educator-developed learning.
So creators like , , or herself can help kids learn the skills they need, like (check out ), mindfulness ( is an expert!), and resilience (pay a visit to ).
Sounds pretty magical, don’t you think? Maybe we’re on board with those dictionary definitions after all.
